Advantage Plan
The Ohio Plan Advantage is a premium contribution program created to reward Ohio Plan members for their efforts in proactive risk management, thereby minimizing or eliminating claims for the member and the plan. The program was initially unveiled to members in 2006 and then further enhanced in 2012. The maximum potential Ohio Plan Advantage premium contribution is the result of the member’s consecutive years of membership, risk management practices and loss ratio calculation.
The Ohio Plan Advantage is based on a 100-point system with members earning points based upon their individual loss ratio and risk management practices toward eight core areas of risk, which include:
- Employee Manuals
- Background Checks
- Contracts
- Inspections
- Citizen Complaints
- Cyber
- Public Records
- Employee Training
Since the inception of this program, the Ohio Plan has given back more than $8,000,000 to its members that have exercised an outstanding commitment to the Ohio Plan, risk management practices and maintained positive loss performance throughout their years as members.
