The New Independent Contractor Rule Went Into Effect on March 11, 2024

The Department of Labor (“DOL”) issued its new independent contractor rule which went into effect on March 11, 2024.  This rule is a complete departure from the previous rule issued in 2021 so every employer must review its prior independent contractor determinations to determine if they are still correct under the new rule.
